Salary queries

Post by bred » Tue Mar 03, 2009 7:34 pm

So today i received a bank statement confirming my salary payments for the period from 1 March 2008 to 28 February 2009. Per statement the full amount is 67,720 UAH (but this is after tax). My gross salary is higher. Can I claim my gross salary or salary after tax?

And also, what exchage rate shall i use to convert it into pounds? Average rate for this period or the rate at the end of the period? Should it be an official rate or market interbank rate? How much do they care about rates?

Thanks.

Gross Salary is the one which is required to be used to prove your earnings and the way you show it is by providing 2sources of evidences like
ideal ones are

1. Pay slips - which shows the Gross - net - and other tax details
2. Banks statements which confirms your net which is shown in ur pay slips...
And also, what exchage rate shall i use to convert it into pounds? Average rate for this period or the rate at the end of the period? Should it be an official rate or market interbank rate? How much do they care about rates?
Please wait for more experienced boarders to comment/suggest on this..
