Urgent Documents related question - Bank statements

Post by vignezh » Mon Mar 09, 2009 3:34 pm

Do we have to submit separate copies of bank statements (one for main applicant and another one for dependant maintenance) even though we are gonna use the same joint bank account for both the applications.

We are actually applying both together from india.

Also we have two marriage certificates (one for main application and one for dependant, even though we apply at the same time). Both are original copies but one of them is a laminated one (because it was torn by mistake).

I am wondering if it would be considered legal, as in many countries laminating original documents is illegal.

NO, you can submit 1set of Bank statements which has the complete funds for both of you for Maintenance funds apart from the earnings..

Because you got 2proper marriage certificates.. use the one which is in better condition.. why take risk with the torn one..

Hi ramesh

A quick question...

I am travelling to UK on my Tier 1 visa. My hubby and kid will apply for the dependent visa next month.

I have maintained 3200 GBP in the form of one single FD and a letter from the bank will be taken for the proof. Now,If My hubby will use the original FD as proof, what do we do for the KID? Can I take a copy of the FD with bank attaestation? How do we link these two applications?

Pls suggest me...

Do you say that we can submit only one copy of the certificate is enough as we are submitting both our applications together.

Hi dima,

To what i know Fixed Deposits cannot be used as an evidance for maintenance funds. Please double check before you apply.

All the best.
