Ready to apply for FLR (M ) but wife doesnt work?

Post by ferrarilondon » Wed Mar 11, 2009 10:10 pm

Hello all,
I am currently on student visa and ia m married to a british national we just had our first baby. Our marriage is registered as i have been issued COA and we got our marriage registered. My current student visa expires in JULY 09.

I am ready to apply for FLR ( M ) and all other documents i.e statements, tenancy agreement, and FLR M form pics etc are ready.

My main question is my wife doesnt work she stopped working since she got pregnant. but we have savings of about 3000 pounds joint. Also we receive about 1000 pounds Per month roughly from her parents ( in britain ) and mine abroad.

i worked during xmas and newyears time and i made about 1500 pounds in a month.

I am so worried now as people are telling me that my wife must be in full time employment inorder to sponser me. But we dont even get any benefits not even child benefits. My question is to the experts to advise me what to do?
PLEASE HELP[/b]

You won't be able to count the money from family as 3rd party financial support is not allowed. However, if you have a job offer this would help.
I would also submit a budget showing that you have at least a minimum of
£95.00 a week left after all utility bills, rent or mortgage, have been paid (but excluding the income from family). You don't need to include food or personal spending, but you do have to account for an repayments on bank or credit loans.

hi ,
thanks for the reply, yes i do have a job offer letter, the company i worked for during holidays are ready to give me fulltime job after my visa change.
I have applied for premium service and the gentalman asked me that how long i have been on student visa for? i replied more then 12months but after i realised that may be he was asking for my total durationon student visa in the country which is 7 years.

is there any restriction or anything on long term stayers, i never been overstayer.

No problem if you haven't overstayed a previous visa. Are you able to show you have more than £95 a week after the deductions I mentioned?

Then it looks like you'll be fine. Submit the written job offer with the application.
