Please help me verify application !!!

Post by wp_to_tier1_168 » Sun Mar 15, 2009 12:04 am

Hi members,

It's been nine weeks since I submitted my application. After six weeks threshold I have contacted UKBA so many times and mostly the status has been "awaiting further consideration", only except "under consideration" once per week. It seems no real progress. So stressful and frustrated :( ... Can't figure out what's wrong with it and how long it will take further :?:

WP to Tier1 with two dependants including a new born baby.

Qualification: orginal phd degree certificate accompanied by english translation/transcript issued by university from my home country. Note: my university is referred to UKBA point-based calculator.

Previous earning: consecutive 12 months of payslips (original, except one month photocopy signed and stamped by my UK company) and 12 months of current bank statements (original) which show company made payment to my account monthly.

Language: original IELTS test report.

Maintenance: original cash E-ISA bank statements.

Additional docs include marriage certificate and its translation, police registration certificate, baby's birth certificate etc...

Some concerns:

1. The initial statement for supporting maintenance funds doesn't cover a complete calendar three-months. After six weeks of my submission, the first time told awaiting further consideration, I sent an additional statement on the same account over the duration prior to the prevous one. I checked afterward and it was tracked in their system. I suspect the additional statement may delay my application. I'm most worried about rejection it might cause.

2. The contact person in HR team has left my company. I have informed UKBA by sending the change of circumstance form along with the additional bank statement. But so far my company hasn't been contacted by them.

3. The application of dependant visa for my baby could cause complexity, as she's born here and prevously she doesn't have a visa.

4. Do they need to contact the university in my home country regarding qualification, which will cause delay as well. But it looks less likely as my unveristy can be found on the point-based calculator :?

5. Finally, other weakness in my application apart from the above :?:

Please could you verify/analyze my case/documents? Any comment/advice would be highly appreciated  Thanks very much.

Your application seems to be fine, there are people here who have been waiting longer than you. I think its down to the backlog of applications received by HO.

Is E-ISA considered for maintenance funds?

Your baby's visa will be approved in no time.

If they have received and acknowledged the additional evidence before processing your application, its fine.
2. The contact person in HR team has left my company. I have informed UKBA by sending the change of circumstance form along with the additional bank statement. But so far my company hasn't been contacted by them.
you have done what was right for you to do, given the circumstances.
3. The application of dependant visa for my baby could cause complexity, as she's born here and prevously she doesn't have a visa.
I would not worry about that at all.

They have every right to contact your university if they do not have comfort over the evidence provided by you. Getting a response from University is usually a problem (especially India/Pakistan) and this might be one of the reasons for delay BUT at the same point, as pointed out by the other member, the delay could be due to backlog etc.
5. Finally, other weakness in my application apart from the above
What are these?

Yes, E-ISA for maintenance funds, I have provided original statements from HSBC. Any problem with that :?: Cheers.

push_hsmp, thanks very much for your kind response. What else should I do except just awaiting? Actually, last monday I have requested urgent treatment but not sure they will buy it in. Regarding possible contact to my university, do i need to check if that's the case? I just want to do everything I can to speed up the processing since my current WP visa will expire at the end of this month. So worried :(

If you know someone who could go to the relevant department of the University and check if they have any HO query pending then it will be helpful (provided this is the reason for delay). You have pretty much done all you could do... just wait... pray... and relax.. :)

Thanks push_hsamp. Yes, I try to keep myself calm  Just difficult for me as it's much longer than I envisaged. I think the most likely cause for the delay is I sent additional bank statement.

Any comment on the cash E-ISA bank statements for supporting maintenance funds?
I assume the case worker should be aware of this type of free-tax cash account, which is available anytime for depositors. Nevertheless, do you think they may verify the evidence in spite of original statements, which could possibly cause delay as well ? Thanks.

One more question about my appication:
I got the Ph.D degree from University in my home country, which can be found on the UKBA point-based calcualor. Do I need evaluation from NARICA? Thanks.

You dont need NARIC if your degree is present on UKBA points calculator.

i have a kinda similar case as you.. i submitted my application to HO 8weeks Wednesday. mine still says "Awaiting Consideration" I dont know if that actually means anything or not. I was short of few days with my statement and i submitted that as additional docs to Lunar Hous, Croydon. did you send yours at the same add?

was you advise by UKBA to send Change of Circumstance form ?? I havent done that. But when I spoke to one advisor early this month (this was even before completion of 6 weeks of submitting application) I was told by advisor that it was recieved. Is it mandatory in such cases to send the change of circumstances form?

Much obliged

raxs1983, I sent to Sheffied and it was my personal purpose to send it along with the change of circumstance form as i thought it would be secure to go to the case worker. You should be ok as long as the doc was acknowledged by them.

Could you share me with detailed dates on your submission of initial application and additional documents?

well, HO have not confirmed to me the reciept of additional docs in writting but an advisor have told me over the fone.

I submitted my application on 30th Janaury 2009, it was recd by them on 2nd Feb and thye issed me a acknowledge letter dated 3rd Feb (it reached me on 9th though :( )

I was short of statements for 31/1, 1/2 and 2/2. I sent those statements by obtaining it from bank. Send it via recorded delivery on 3rd Feb 2009 to Durham address (at tht point i dint have my ref no. and no one was aware at HO where to send those docs). Once I got my ref no, I called them up and spoke to a lady who initially denied accepting any additional documents but later gave/ask me to send it to Lunar House address in London with Ref no on the post (i sent it on 9th or 10th I guess, via next day Recorded delivery)

Hope this helps

Keep well
x
