WP stamping after passport renewal

Hi
One of my friends daughter's passport has expired and got a new passport (after renewal).Do we need to send the new passport for WP stamping to Home office?

No need of stamping... no need to spend money again. It is optional... atleast you can keep the old passport 2 years with the new one .... when you visa is getting expired then send the new passport with the new one, at that time they will put the new stamp on the new passport ....
