How to arrange/present documents for Tier 1

Post by destiniation_london » Sat Mar 21, 2009 6:42 pm

Hello All,

Can anyone of you who have applied or got his application approved, please please tell me how did you arrange/presented your application to the caseworker. As in did you punch hole the application form, put it in a file, evidences in a plastic sheet and put them too in a file. Did you also put some sort of tags or marker on the application form to inform the caseworker to look at which section in file for supporting document for corresponding section.

Anyone can please share their views would be greatly appreciated.....

thanks.

Separating the main application and different sets of supporting evidences is helpful. However use foldback pins/u-pins for the purpose. At the same time using tabs/post-its to cross refernce various documents/to highlight specific items on a particular page with explanation provided in the cover page is a neat practice.

Thanks a lot push_hsmp for the prompt reply. I really appreciate that.

however, do you reckon, i should punch hole the application form and file it or just put u-pins.

Sorry, if this sounds silly, i am just confused about how should i present my documents for the convenience of the case-worker.

No need to punch hole the "main application" form. It will be a good idea to staple the application form so that all the pages remain together.

Supporting documents can be kept together in individual bunches using U-pins. One you have done so - ALL the documents can be put together using a bigger foldback clip.

You should present you application is a better way. Case workers doesn't know you nor have any idea about your background/application.
You have to make sure that you take case worker through you application in a simpler and ocnvincing way. Make it an Eye-Candy. The more simple+better presented it is, the more are chances that you get fast approval(atleast once its is picked up by caseworker).

Including Index(Table of Content) and arranging your documents properly in files(with plastic sheets) is one way of it and so it separating each section with colourful tags.
