Maintenance Fund Letter Issues - very urgent

Post by ashokccs » Tue Mar 24, 2009 7:23 am

Hi pals,

the bank people said they will issue me a letter stating the minimum balance in INR for the period covering more than past 3 months but will not be converting it into GBP.
will this be ok or is it required to convert the INR into GBP and mention the GBP equivalent in the letter?

If the letter is ok without GBP conversion of INR, I would explain it clearly in the covering letter.

Pls tell me the conversion rates to be considered from Oanda, should I consider the rates as per the Maintenance Letter Issued date???

kindly advice,
Ash.

Yes conversion rate should be considered of the day of application.

The conversion rate should be the last date of your claim period in that currency.

conversion is not the Job of Bank. You need to support your letter from the bank with the Onada printout and the case worker will do the conversion and verify if the amount mentioned on you letter is sufficient or not.
