PSW Spouse Visa From Pakistan

Post by RMS » Sun Mar 22, 2009 8:40 pm

Hi Everyone:

I am applying my wife's visa next month from pakistan.

I started my job 2 months ago and I will be able to provide 2 payslips and bank statement by next month.

I have morethan £3000 balance in my bank account for last 3 months. Is there any requirement of minimum months in job before I can sponser my wife or maintinence balance will be sufficent?

I tried to find out maintinence fund requirement but could not find an exact answer. On application form it states £533 but on ukba website it says £1600 balance for last 3 months.

I will be thankful if anyone can answer this.

Regards

u will need more than those documents if you want to sponser your wife.

u will also need documents like:

employment letter
P60/P2
min 3 months wage slips (i put in 6 months)
3 months bank statements
property report
sponsorship letter
bills on your name
means of contact (letters, emails greeting cards)

these are just a few of the top of my head but u can search the forum and get an idea of what other documents you can include..

gud luck :)

Dear Khan:

Thank you for your help.

I know about all other documents. I am trying to find about minimum employment period because somebody told me that because there is a requirement of maintinence fund now therefore you can apply spouse visa even if you do not have a job but fulfill the maintinence requirement.

Does anybody knows any rule of minimum employment period? I know 3 to 6 months is usually in practice?

I appreciate your help.

There is no minimum length of period that you have had to be employed.

It is whether the employment is permamant, and that your wage is sufficient to support you and your wife plus all the other daily expenses, without you claiming state benefits to help you out.

How long have you been unemployed before getting this job. I ask this because you have savings of £3000.

The ECO might want to know how you managed to get this, if you have not worked.

If you have put these in recently as lump sums, there is a possibility that you may be refused because the ECO thinks you've only put this amount to show a good balance for when your wife applys.

I have known people whose application have come unstuck, particularly if they have been unemployed, then find a job, put a lump sum in a bank supply 2/3 months wage slips, and then make an application for their wifes visa.

Why do you want to apply so quickly, can you not wait a few months so you have a good employment record, and funds that have been deposited over a longer period?.

Of course I may be wrong in what I have said about your circumstances, in which case good luck with your wives application.
