help with questions not to answer on eea family permit

We want to make our application, and need a little help with what questions not to answer, we shall not be making an online application as it does not give us an option not to answer certain questions. If anyone has gone through a similar process your advice will be greayly appreciated.

Yes but if he is a EEA citizen exercising Treaty rights he does not have to answer all the questions - for his spouse!

I thought we just had to prove we are family members? (marriage certificate?) maybe bank statement to prove that we can support ourselves?

This is like ten pages long?

the link does not seem to work....so here is the list of required documents when applying for a EEA FP!

What supporting documents should my family members include with their application?
They should include all the documents they can to show that they qualify for an EEA family permit. If they do not, we may refuse their application.

As a guide they should include:

a copy of your EEA national passport (endorsed by your embassy in the country of application); and
proof of their relationship to you (for example, their birth certificates or marriage certificate); and
a letter from you declaring that you are travelling with them or that they are joining you in the UK.
If they are not your spouse, civil partner, child or grandchild under 21, they must provide proof that they are dependent on you or have lived as part of your household.
Please note that in order to protect the interests of minors, children under 18 should provide written permission from their parents/guardians to travel where one or both parents are not travelling.

If they are applying as your unmarried partner, they should provide proof that they have been living with you in a relationship akin to marriage for over two years. It is unlikely that we would consider a shorter relationship as 'durable', in accordance with the EEA Regulations.

So in short you do not have to answer all the questions.......

Benifa...exactly what I thought! He can't actually believe that!! It clearly states you have to prove you can support yourself and that you are a spouse/family member of an EU citizen!

I am now confused my wife is a freelance writer, so we dont make a lot of money but before we left the UK, we had our own business and my spouse has never claimed benefits, we would most def get jobs to suppoert ourselves and until we do we will live with my spouses parents, do we have a chance on getting this permit.

Ok, does the Zimbabwean among you hold a Spanish Residence Card, issued in accordance with Article 10 of Directive 2004/38/EC? That is, a Residence Card of a family member of a Union citizen who is exercising Treaty rights in Spain?

We have gone through all the procedures we have an appointment to produce an apostile for the ID, but as everything works at a very slow speed in spain, I have NIE number and papers to prove I can work. My spouse has applied for some jobs in the UK and hopefully we will get an inerview will the inerview help with the application, I also want to apply for a job as I have some connections in the UK so a job will not be that difficult or an interview. As I wrote ealier our savings are spent as we have been moving countries for the past 3 years.

Your help and input is greatly appreciated.

I know that, but if he were to hold a Residence Card from Spain, he wouldn't need to apply for the EEA FP in any case (according to the Directive).

tocasa, don't worry too much. The EEA FP usually cannot be refused. You may have a problem if you pose a health risk to the UK, or otherwise offend public policy. Otherwise, you'll be fine. Relax.
