Is refusal stamped on passport?

Does anyone know if a passport is stamped as Visa Refused in case of rejection?

My friend is applying for PSW and wants to know what will happen to his student visa once PSW is refused for any reason. His student visa expires in Oct '09 and he is applying for PSW before 31/03 because of his course PG Certificate.

It's ususlly noted in back cover of passport - VAF Bombsay 23.03.09 for example and underlined. The underlining shows it a refusal.

i dont think they stamped rufuse on passport... they just give u an appeal letter..

Are you sure UkBabble ,

When an application is refused , first of all why they should write on passsport .

They just send a letter of rejection and what can be done next .
They will not do anything on passport ..

I am saying this because , i had gone through rejections many times ......
