Spouse visa applying from India

Post by ngkumar » Thu Mar 26, 2009 9:44 am

Hi,

I have an ILR visa in UK. My wife was with me here in UK for 2 years and gone back to India for delivery. Now I would like to apply the dependent visa for my baby and my wife (Her current dependet visa is geeting over by 1st of May)

Could you please let me know what form I have to use.

As well , I am working as a contractor through my limited company. If any one with the similar type, could you please share the format of the employer letter/ covering letter you used.

Thanks in advance

Thanks,
Naveen

You need to apply VAF4a ( This is new one) you can download from here http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/vafs

You have to apply your wife and baby so you need to fill two forms, separate fee for each application.

Make sure you have the following list

1. Passport (valid for at least 6 months with available 'visa' pages)
2. VAF 4a.(Visa Application Form)
3. 2 recent coloured photos-: 45mm x 35mm against a white background with contrast coloured clothes. No Polaroid's & no matt finish photos.
4. SPONSERSHIP UNDERTAKING FORM for your wife and baby (download from here http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/resources/en/ ... ponsorform)
5. A letter from official sponsor.
6. Evidence of relationship to the family member in the UK e.g. marriage or birth certificate (original)
7. Passport photocopy & immigration status (valid visa page) of the person in the UK with entry & exit stamps to & from the UK.
8. Detailed evidence of employment in the UK.
9. Letter from the Dept of Works & Pensions (if relevant).
10. Updated and detailed last 6 months itemized bank transactions of sponsor.
11. P-60 of sponsor, (3 years) if applicable.
12. Last 6 months pay-slips of sponsor.
13. Any other evidence of applicant's or spx's savings.
14. Evidence to show whether the accommodation provided in UK is owned outright by spx or mortgaged or leased.
15. A Property Inspection Report relating to this accommodation.(This is very important)
16. Evidence of communication e.g. letters, e-mails, cards, phone bills etc.
17. Wedding photographs, all your family together photos (you, your wife and baby)

18) You also need to send your council tax bills, electricity bills, water bills

19) You can prepare your monthly budget plan like incomings and ougoings including for your baby

I am also in same position and i have applied for my wife and baby in chennai one month back. Now a days it is taking 50 working days for settlement visa.

I hope this will help you and documents you can provide as much as you have like if you have own house in UK then send loan documents

Hi,

thanks for all your replies. Can you please confirm what is the mean of settlement visa?

I mean will they give ILR visa (I am sure they won't issue ILR visa from India but just clarifing) or FLR visa for a certain period for my wife and baby.

Really appreciate for your replies.

Thanks alot.
