Hi Everybody

Post by Ani33 » Wed Mar 25, 2009 3:36 pm

I am Polish and I was in a job interview in Liverpool. I was selected for training. Along the line a member of the staff came and asked me to leave after finding out that I was not registered with the home office. Now I am confused because based on the WRS I am to register with the home office after I must have gotten a job and not the other way round. I am stuck in the middle. Employer wants me to register before giving me a job and the home office wants me to get a job before registering. Or is there any other kind of registration I am required to do? Can someone advice me on what to do? I am confused. :?:

Do you have a Tier-1 (HSMP) visa? or some other visa?

Tell them to contact the Employer Helpline:

Sponsorship and employers' helpline
0300 123 4699

Point out the guidance for them.

Although employers are not legally required to conduct these checks, we recommend that you make sure that a person from one of the A8 countries who starts working for you registers with the Border and Immigration Agency within one month of starting work, unless they are exempt from the requirement to do so.

@ Custodian, I do not need any kind of visa since I am Polish to get into the UK. I just think they (NEXT SHOP) are just biased and would not want to employ me. They are also quite a big establishment and I am really at lost on what to do.
