I've been granted Tier1 Post Study Work Visa in Sept,'08, I would like to know if there are any restrictions on being out of the U.K. for quite a long time (3-4 months) on this type of visa.

I don't believe there is any restriction on how long you can be away.

Whats the pojnt of getting PSW if you dont wana live here. But yes, there aren't any restrictions, you can stay out of UK as long as you like. BUT if your PSW leads to your 10 years ILR then there are some restrictions which kicks in, but all together is other issue. BUT in your case yes no restrictions.
