How to divorce spouse from Pakistan, in uk?

How to divorce spouse from Pakistan, in uk?

Hi all,

any help would be appreciated. I married my husband in 2007 in Pakistan, being a Nikkah. He was granted a 2 year spousal visa and is in the UK.

I would like to know what the procedure would be if we were to divorce?

Would a talaq-namma/divorce from union council Pakistan be valid ? Or would we have to begin divorce proceedings in the UK?

But why do you want to divorce? Can you not sort out things and live happy? :(
