Got ILR! Thanks

Post by scorz » Mon Aug 08, 2005 1:12 pm

I finally got my ILR at the PEO Birmingham.

Having an appointment is highly recommended.

The interview took about 15 minutes after which I was asked to pay the (premium) fees. The documents checked were:

1. wp
2. salary slips
3. letter from the employer

I did not take my wife (and the kid) along. For this I was specifically asked (when booking an appt) to bring along an authority letter from the wife stating that she gave me permission to take along her passport to the PEO office for the purposed of getting ILR.

My sincerest thank you to each and every one of you who have been providing such precious helpful advice.

I had innumerable number of queries earlier on and I would highly recommend (and infact I have and many have already benefitted) this board for help.

I also recommend talking to the immigration advisers (who can be found via oisc.gov.uk).

I still hope to continue using this site to understand the benefits (and drawbacks, if any) of getting the ILR. Do keep me pointed in the right direction!

My sincerest thanks once again to everyone in the community. Next call - to the friendly immigration advisers (who I found via oisc.gov.uk)!
