Today 29/04 I was in shock.
My application was posted on 06/04, and received by UKBA on 07/04, 750 pounds taken on 07/04. I used form 03/09.
Today they returned all documents, saying I used the wrong form and wrong payment. They ask me to use the 04/09 to make a fresh application, though they said the previous 750 will be refunded.
The home office site clearly said:
http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/siteco ... rms-060409
In line with paragraph 34I of the Immigration Rules, the previous versions of each of the forms will continue to be valid for applications made up to 21 days after 6 April 2009.
My application with form "03/09" they received on 07/04 obviously is within "up to 21 days after 06/04". Did I understand this clause wrong?
Should I make a new application with "04/09" form?
Or argue the case with this "up to 21 days" clause, to ask them to review the case again? What will happen when I sent back the previous documents with this "up to 21 days" policy?
Which way is quicker? a new application takes another 6 weeks from now.
Very shocking. I did not anticipate this kind of action against me. The form "03/09" should be valid up to until 26/04 according to the 21 days buffer?
