Why not wait till 20th and find out what the policy and procedures going to be? Hope your current leave is valid till then.fads22 wrote:Hi All, I have a question on the new court judgement for 4-5 year ILR process. The home office confirmed on their website that they are currently defining a special process for the existing HSMP holders who will be able to apply for ILR after 4 years based on old scheme and a policy will be implemented by 20th May. However there are lot of people who are close to completing their 5 year period before that date under old HSMP scheme. What would happen to those applicants? Will they be given back dated ILR and will they be allowed to apply for citizenship directly? Any advice on such people if they should wait for 20th May or they should apply if their 5 yr period is complete. Thanks.
That is true, the best person to answer yor question correctly is the HO and hopefully, they will do so on or before 20th of May provided they do not go back to court to ask for extention - That's about 16 days to go, we're all counting down....push_hsmp wrote: Why not wait till 20th and find out what the policy and procedures going to be?
