Re: Extension for family dependant on ILR

Post by gmurali » Sun May 10, 2009 3:33 pm

Dear Members
I am NHS doctor and I have Indefinite Leave to Remain for myself. Unfortunately when I applied for ILR (on Long stay category), I did not send my family's passport along with my application. We are travelling to India and returning end of August. Visa for my family is expiring on 1st September
I would be grateful for your advice re:
1. Is there any way I could get my family's Indian passport stamped with dependant of myself
2. If so what is the procedure?

I kindly appreciate a response from the group

Many Thanks
Murali

Spouse and children may apply for FLR(M) before departing the UK.

Alternatively, Spouse may apply for spouse visa and each child may apply for child settlement visa from India before returning.

If your child was born in the UK, then child is also eligible to register for British citizenship.
