Tier 2 SW (Dependent ) Partner to PBS Tier 1 (General )?

Hi

I am currently on Tier 2 SW (Dependent) Partner residence permit.

Can I swtich my immigration status to Tier 1 (General ) under the new PBS scheme and apply for the same without the need to leave the UK?

To what i am aware .. Dependents can only apply for T1 from their home country. I know some one in your situation and he had to go to his home country for T1.
