Extension application under HSMP - peculiar case Need HELP

Post by aerozorro » Wed May 13, 2009 9:23 am

Hi all,
Need help regarding HSMP extension under FLR(HSMP), mine is a peculiar case, I got initial HSMP apporval on 14 sep 2006 but the approval letter and all my originals got lost in postal transaction and got a reprint of approval letter dated 27 Feb 2007.
My visa epires on 8 Aug 2009, I need to apply for extension, and plan to apply extension under FLR (HSMP) but I dont have any proof to confirm that my original HSMP approval was made before Nov 2007, other than the HO mails related to the loss and application for reprint.

Kindly suggest me if I can still apply extension under FLR (HSMP).

query in short
Initial HSMP approval : Sep 2006
Reprint of Appoval : Feb 2007 (dated Feb 2007, original approval letter got lost in postal transaction)
Visa Expiry : Aug 2009
Query : Need to know if I am elgible to apply extension under FLR (HSMP) and do I have a strong case.

Thank you,
Karthikeyani

Is your approval letter dated 27/02/2007 not sufficient proof to illustrate that your initial approval was granted prior to November 2007?

What does your approval letter state?? i mean does it mention on the letter about "65 points" as i remember my letter did mention the same. If yes you can fight that you got approval based on the rules pre nov 06.

Also HO should have your details. It would be better if you email UKBA to comform the same....

Another thing i would like to mention that JR covers all the HSMP who applied (not result) before Nov 2006..

The approval letter dated 27 feb 2007 says it is duplicate and it does mention that I qualify based on "65 pionts" .

As proof I do have HO e mail stating that initial approval was made on 14 sep 2006 and other mails confirming the loss of original approval letter.

Thanks, drjabberwocky23, nksg for the suggestion.

I did mail UKBA and am yet to get any reply.
Will keep you guys posted when if I get any reply

Thanks

There you are!! if your approval letter states 65 points means you are covered under JR as post NOV 06 points increased to 75.

I would put the supporting email and mention the same on my cover letter. Still wait for HO to reply...

All the best!!

Filling the FLR Tier 1 (HSMP) under JR application form

Post by aerozorro » Wed May 13, 2009 8:39 pm

Hi all,

With the confidence from the replies, I plan to apply for extension with FLR Tier 1 (HSMP) application form and have few quires regarding it.

1. Though in UKBA website clearly states that it cost 750 GBP for extension, the first page of guidance note says it to be 820 GBP.
2. In section 7 of application form, it says that documentary evidance is only required IF not married or civil partner, i just want to know is it mandatory to furnish marriage certificate.

My question 2 is highly relevant because as stated in my first post, all my original documents got lost along with the approval letter and hence I got a NEW marriage certifacate when I went to home town few months earlier. It may casue suspision as the new marriage certificate will be dated 2009, may lead to submission of false proof.

Kindly please adivce me regarding this,
Thanks
Karthi
