Weird Process!

Post by Sheikh25 » Thu May 14, 2009 10:54 pm

Hello to all the members,I've been reading this forum for some time now so, thought would share my experience for HSMP(Tier 1) initial application.

Applied 26th March
Received Ref letter dated 30th march
Called 11.05 awaiting consideration
Called 12.05 awaiting consideration
Called 13.05 under consideration
Called 14.05 AWAITING CONSIDERATION AGAIN :?
Any thoughts why would it go to awaiting consideration again after being under consideration???
I suppose it should be going to further consideration if needed.

HO follows 3 Strike rule.
1. They will try to contact him thrice (via Phone)
2. Then they will write to him.
3. Then they will call or write him again.

If no response then they will return your application.
Its a normal procedure. I am sure application will be sorted.

got my hsmp to tier 1 today(+1 dependant)
My employer had gone bust. Early application(5 months in advance).
I did not have all salary slips but had just enough to get me required points. I had taken a new passport just prior to applying for visa renewal. I did not provide any cover letter to explain the contents of my package but I had marked all documents clearly .
e.g i had highlighted my salary credit on bank statements as well as marked the bank statement purpose in BOLD.. I had submitted another bank account for maintenance points and had marked it clearly on its front sheet.

Applied on 9th march.

Ref letter : within 3-4 days.

Past two weeks: awaiting consideration to awaiting further consideration

Approved on 7th May
It feels so good that I had not called in between because it would have driven me nuts to know that my documents are probably lost in transit.
Documents Delivered on 15 May.

P60 and P45 are considered as evidence only if they cover your claimed period. The evidence must have start and end dates and since P60 does not have start date,it will be taken as proof of earnings from start of the year.
These documents are not considered same as the salary slips though. Its source is UK government.
So, these two were not considered for my application. Luckily, i had supplied salary slips and bank statements as well.

There was some police verification done at my home in my native country but I am not sure if the two were related(probably due to my new passport).

I just spoke to the home office and they said that a package had been dispatched yesterday. Does anyone know if that means it will arrive today or tomorrow?

Application generally takes 6 - 7 weeks.
some applications take a while depending the backlog the caseworker is dealing with.
I am sure You application should be sorted by next week.

Homeoffice should have given you with a Tracking Number.
You can use the tracking number to track ur applications on RoyalMail Website.
If they say they package has been dispatche dthen you should receive it to the max by tomorrow.

Hi MattM,

if its special delivery it will come before 1PM today. if it is recorded it may come today or tommorow.

But i am not sure what do they mean by dispatched. If it means giving the royal mail your package yesterday than what i wrote above is applicable

An officer had gone to my permanent address(as stated in passport). That is how I know it. He verified my photographs and confirmed that I was who I claimed I was.

One point I forgot to add though is this, If your application is getting delayed that means the HO is awaiting some confirmation about verification and you meet the basic requirements of PBS.
If any of your sources verify that given information is correct, they do not bother about other sources unless the two do not corroborate each other.

I think if you take a closer look at guidance document/case worker manual, if they are certian that any document is forged/fake, visa is rejected immediately.
if they fail to verify a document, you still might have some chance if other documents can be verified.

I agree and would recommend using PO next day delivery.

I don't this makes much difference because I paid by credit card and I got reference letter within 3 days of posting.

Process for requesting early review

Post by tier_1 » Fri May 15, 2009 1:17 pm

Hello All,

Is there any process to request home office to review your application on a priority basis?
I have already submitted my application and documents but now I have to go on business travel.
Can I request for premium service? If yes, what is the procedure?

Thanks.

You can apply for urgent treatment.contact home office for furtrher details and criteria.

For premimum service also you need to book way in advance so dont think its gonna help you now when you have already submitted your application.

But again contact home office for first hand information
