Made redundant after application submitted

Post by thejohnsmith » Sat May 16, 2009 8:36 pm

Hi

I applied for my Tier 1 General on 6 April 2009. Shortly after that, the engineering company I was working for made me redundant, and I was terminated on 7 May. I have applied for another job and managed to get something in a similiar field, but they don't do work permits and I need the Tier 1 to start.

Does the UKBA have any grounds for refusing my application?

Also, how can I request for it to be put on urgent, willing to pay more so that I can start this new job and pay the bills.

Thanks for all your help!!!!!!!

No. They might want to call you last employer to confirm your employment details. Hope there would be someone to provide necessary details. You should also inform HO about change in your circumstances.

There is no urgent treatment process under Tier-1 but you can send a request and hope for the best.

No body is disputing that. The point we are making is - in case HO calls his earlier employer someone should answer the queries properly.
