Divorce and RC

Can anyone tell me what will happen to me application with the HO even though i am on the verge of divorce after been married for 5 years with my German wife and live together all the years in Germany but only live together in U.K.for 2 years and having outstanding application with HO,should i let HO know about my divorce or wait till i get my RC first?
