wrong date of issue on passport

i was born & have lived in london, uk my whole life. my parents are italian, therefore i have an italian passport.

I'm going to L.A. in August & I was in the process of filling out an online form for "Authorization to Travel to the United States".

when I got to filling in the date of issue, here is what it said on my passport:

Date of Issue: 13 Jul 2017
Date of Expiry: 12 Jul 2017

Obviously it should been Date of Issue: 13 Jul 2007.

What do I do? Do I have to go to the Italian Consulate to get it fixed? That place is hell on earth.

Would it be risky if i just put what should be the correct date of issue (2007) in the authorisation form & hope that when i enter L.A & get to border control, they don't notice that it says 2017?!

I've travelled in Europe for the past 2 years without any problems with the current (wrong) date of issue.

Help! I've been a wreck this evening
