Search for jobs matching your skillset on cwjobs.co.uk, jobsite.co.uk, monster.co.uk

The catch is, even if you do find jobs in your domain, in the current climate it is hard to differentiate genuine job ads from fake ones, the later being more prevalent.

abrahas,

i dont want to scare u. i just wanted to make u aware abt bitter truth. u r right abt plenty of vacancies posted on oilcareer.com everyday for process engineer.i also gone through the same site few months back before applying for tier-1 visa.in fact, this is the site which encouraged me to apply for tier-1 visa.

i wd like to give an example of one of my friend who is having 8 yrs experiance in chip designing (apart from our field of energy) and migrated to UK after having tier-1 visa. he is struggling for a single interview call even after 3 month.he left his executive class job in india(salary-60000 INR/month) and went to UK before 3 month. i had personally contact to him. he has to do labourious job now to earn his bread and butter.

i know that truth is always bitter but i hv tried to share as maximum as possible which i experianced in last 2 month.

evethough, i hv not left hopes till now. i am still trying wd my best. but i dont want to leave my current job wihtout any offer from UK.

better u do one thing, u just apply for tier-1 visa.it is valid for 3 years so u dont need to worry.u cn wait untill mkt condition gets improve.

Hello,
Thanks for your advice...i guess the situation is not changed much..one of my friend was in UK this Jan on Work Permit frm a O&G company..he and along with 25-30 people have been laid off and he is heading back to India...
I am planning to apply for visa 3-6 months later this year...Do you suggest other countries other than UK and US where it may not be tough to get in w/o such visa procedure?
Thanks a lot in advance.

hi,

if u will be selected by any company, they will arrange for work permit visa in any developed countries. but this kind of work permit visa is only valid until you serve for that perticular company.

as far as middle east, no need to go through visa procedure.if u selected by a company, visa can be available easily.

if u want to go for developed counties u must have either skilled visa(like tier-1 which cn convert later on in to PR/citizenship) or work permit visa. for example,i hv been selected by japanes company and they arraged my visa otherwise it is difficult to get japanes visa without job in japan.

can i know abt ur experiance level ,field , education level ,ur liviing state etc.?

Hi DUncan,

Can u tell me some thing in detail?

Did u get the job from your home country itself or you have to move to UK first ?

R u tier-1 visa holder??

Is it easy to get the job of Process engineer after coming to UK? or it is better to try from your home country? Please suggest.....
