Husband Surname correction written by hand - Please Help

Hi Friends,


BDHC chennai have written "Dependant to - XXXXXXXXX" on top of my wife's Tier1 Dependant Visa page,
and have completely misspelled husbands surname and have missed writing 2 letter's at the end ( surname is just a 7 letter word)

Wonder why cant they take care while writing and always put people in problems.. just at the mercy of there mistake.

they have written it by pen where there is a space on passport page and not on visa page.

Does any one how much time it takes for a correction to be made by BDHC chennai after submitting the passport at VFS ?

if anyone has gone through this kindly let us know how much time it takes please

Have never come across such a thing!! Why would someone write anything on the Passport. For all practical purposes its the VISA which should carry your details and if these are correct you have nothing to worry about.

I think if you approach them with this mistake, they will have to correct it. I am not sure how long it might take but I think they will do it fast as it is their mistake.

she did receive a call from chennai bdhc today morning indian time and they told to submit the passport for husband surname correction , she has submitted today morning from bangalore. vfs

they informed her that it will be dispatched back to vfs bangalore on thursday evening itself after correction.

Also, they did reply to my email with a Sorry, but only we know how much problem it creates for us with change in plans and all
