Tier 1 visa duration issue

Tier 1 visa duration issue

I just received my Tier 1 visa and it says it is valid for three years. Did the UK talk to up and give me an extra year? Is this year valid or will my visa really only last for two years?

If its Tier 1 General, then yes, under the new system they are giving 3 years visas.
