Passport expiration and FLR

Post by lizrich002 » Sat May 30, 2009 12:17 am

Can I apply for further leave to remain now if the visa for the 1st two years expires in Novemeber and my passport expires in September? The intention is to renew the passport after the extension. Hope this will not constitute any issue?

I would advice to get your passport renew before FLR application. It will only take max 5 days (if Indian passport) so that your FLR can be stamped on your new passport.
Other wise you need to keep your old and new passport together for next extension period. Also note, to transfer the visa stamp on your new passport will cost you another over £150.
