Hi Arsun, arsun wrote:I am a Non-EU National and I currently hold an HSMP Visa( 2yrs Visa till Jan 2010). I had appeared for a few interviews in the UK and in the process I came across an opportunity 1 year ago in the Republc of Ireland ( Galway) and took that up (under the Irish Greencard Visa Scheme applied for by my current Employer). I am currently looking to apply for the UK- HSMP Extension i.e. FLR (Further Leave to remain) so that I may be able to take up employment in the UK in the coming months. I would like to understand my options in this case since I have not worked in the UK so far. I would be obliged if you would be kind enough to advise me on the following:-
1) Would I be able to still qualify for the FLR ( further leave to remain ) despite not having worked in the UK wit h my current HSMP visa.
2) In terms of earnings, I do qualify for the full 45 points( >45000 GBP) with my current salary in Euros. Does this suffice or do I need to show that I have worked for a UK based Employer over the last 12 month period?
3) I have a Bachelors Degree and have sufficient funds in my Bank to show that I can support my family ( Spouse and 1 year old kid). Does this suffice or do I need to show savings in a UK based Bank account?
I would really apreciate any guidance so that I can enhance my chances of a making a successful application for FLR.

As far as I know, if you were not employed by UK based employer(who then sent you to work overseas), you will not be able to apply for ILR.arsun wrote:1) Would I be able to still qualify for the FLR ( further leave to remain ) despite not having worked in the UK wit h my current HSMP visa.
How will you show that you have worked for UK based employer ? I will rule out that option.2) In terms of earnings, I do qualify for the full 45 points( >45000 GBP) with my current salary in Euros. The question is valid only if you are able to apply for FLR. If you are still qualified to apply for FLR(which I personally think not) you can use this. You don;t have to show maintenance funds for UK based. You can use any bank for the same.3) I have a Bachelors Degree and have sufficient funds in my Bank to show that I can support my family ( Spouse and 1 year old kid).
