Dear all

am not sure which letter to finalize and submit along with my PSW application. Please advise me.

Letter1:

xx June 2009

To
The British Deputy High Commission
Chennai/Madras

Re: Mr. xxxx, Date of Birth: xx/xx/xxxx, Residential Address

Dear Sir/Madam

This is to certify that Mr. xxxxxxxxxx is one of our customers. His account number is xxxxxxxx. The details of FDR are as under:

Date of Deposit Amount of Deposit Deposit Number Maturing On
13/02/09 Rs.xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx 13/08/09

We confirm that Mr. xxxxx, Account Number: xxxxxx currently hold a total of Rs.3, 00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Only) in our bank and we confirm that these funds have been in his account since deposition. We confirm that the funds did not fall below Rs.3, 00,000/- at any time since deposition. The fixed deposits (FD) in his account are clearly and unconditionally available for immediate withdrawals at any given point of time even before the date of maturity and can be readily availed by the depositor on demand means the above FDR is encashable immediately on demand by the depositor.

Please do not hesitate to contact the bank for any further clarification.

This letter is issued on the request of Mr. xxxxxx and at no risk and cost of the issuing officer or the bank.

Yours truly, Date: dd/06/2009

Both letters are good, but i would go for the first one if you include the UK GBP equivalent with exchange rate on the date of signing the letter. The HO case workers would be too lazy to do the calculations
