Hang on! You mean he's had this error on his visa for a while, and never thought to correct it until now, when it's almost time to apply for his ILR?qrizza wrote:Thank you Vinny for your reply.
Do you think there will be any problems for his ILR as we have an appointment at Croydon on 13 July and I guess we don't have time to correct it.
Experts or not, UKBA sure won't see it that way! Ignorance is not an excuse, and applicants are always advised to check that they have the correct visa endorsed in their passports. Perhaps you can give them a call, and see what they say? The sooner, the better! Good Luck!qrizza wrote:We are not an experts, after reading this forum I was doubt about that and decided to ask people.
I don't think that the ILR will be refused but I would add this. Only straight-forward applications should be made in person and it view of the incorrect endorsement that has been applied, it is possible that they will not issue the ILR on a same-day basis. Unless you get clarification from UKBA that they don't see any problem, I would recommend that you cancel the appointment and instead post the application ..... and save yourself £200.Do you think there will be any problems for his ILR as we have an appointment at Croydon on 13 July and I guess we don't have time to correct it.
qrizza wrote:Hello,
My partner and I went to Croydon yesterday for his ILR appointment and we have been turned down at the reception - SET(M) not right form and was given EEA2.
Our situation:
We are living together for 4+ years (not married) and have a 3 years old child.
My partner - he The Gambian ,he was removed as overstayer in June 2007 and in August 2007 he came back with 2 years visa to join spouse (wrong endorsement from my previous post).
I am from Latvia, but I never been working in the UK and I don't have Worker registration as my partner support us.
How do you see this situation, SET(M) or EEA2?
Will appriciate your advise.
