One simple query please

Hi All,

I am in process of applying for Tier-1. I have couple of doubts and hope someone will be able to help me.

I am maintaining around GBP 2500 in my saving bank account and around GBP 700 is being maintained by my wife in her bank as a form of FD. I have a doubt that if HO will accept my wife's FD as my maintenance fund if she provides some notarize letter that she can give this money to me at any time and this amount is available to withdraw at any time.

If they do not accept my wife's FD, then we'll need to break the FD and transfer the fund into our joint account or start a new FD on my name. In this case, I'll need wait for another 3 months as I was maintaining this amount for quite a some time and now it is almost 3 months. :(

One more thing which I would like to ask, I read that if applicant's spouse and child is going to join him within 12 months from the date of the visa, you should show their maintenance amount also? Is it true? They are likely to join me ASAP but there is no way I can show GBP 3200 extra as their maintenance fund.

Can we simply tell them that they will join me next year as my son is too young now and I want them to join after one year.

Please advise further on this. Thanks.

Kind Regards,
Akash...
