After getting ILR

After getting ILR

I understand that one needs to spend four years in the UK to get ILR. I want to know what happens after getting ILR, in how much time one becomes a british citizen and passport is issued.

Secondly, what is the implication of getting ILR? Does that mean that one can move out of the UK any time and come back/re-enter after any period of absensce.

would appreciate comments on the above.
