Just a fairly quick question about the K-1

Post by DecayAndDelight » Fri Jun 19, 2009 2:25 pm

Hi everyone, my fiancé (Who's the American citizen) is applying for the K-1 visa for me in late September when I next go to see her.. I've been a full time student through this period, and have left education, now; I've been unemployed for a little while whilst trying to look for a job.

What I'm asking is one of two questions, I know they look at her tax returns etc (Correct me if I'm wrong) But will they look at mine? And will me not ever having a job (I'm nineteen and been in education) have a negative effect on the application for the K-1 in anyway (Maybe I'm just being silly, I just want to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible on my end) because I've been claiming benefits as a means to live on whilst at school because I left home and lived alone for the last seven or eight months.

Also, I'm having tests done because there is suspicions I may have Asberger's Syndrome (This will class me as disabled in some respects) will this atall effect how our application is processed or how it's treated, or if it will have a negative effect atall?

So basically:

1) Would me not having a job and claiming benefits affect the K-1?
2) Would me being "Disabled" effect the K-1?
