Old HSMP Extension to FLR under Tier 1

Post by sameer_varma » Wed May 20, 2009 5:20 pm

Dear All,

I got my HSMP Approval in Sep 2006 (Old rule before 7 Nov 2006 rule change) and I applied for extension under Tier 1 General in Jan 2009 and got my visa extended for another 3 years.

However, I also applied for my 2 dependents along with my application but their applications were held back and are 'under consideration' even as of today - after 5 months!! I have written to them several hundred times and have even appointed an OISC registered consultant to deal with this. But, all the UKBA guys have to say is that -

"We are still awaiting guidance from policy on how to proceed with these applications and as soon as the policy issues with your client's applications are resolved, they will be dealt with as a matter of urgency"

Now this is really frustrating and we are really worried as my son's passport is expiring in July and we are planning a trip back home to India during August 2009.

If anyone could provide any suggestions/advice/comments it would be highly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Thanks very much for the information Tahir. Can you please show me where is this mentioned? I mean did you read the news on the BIA website? Also, what does this policy say?

Many thanks.
