Imp Bank Statement... for HSMP...

Hi All,
I got a print out of my statement on bank headed paper it's stamped but they refused to sign it and on that print out it's got only my account number not name .....
will that be ok or shall I wait for another 10 days for my statement by post.

I obtained the similar statement from HSBC with only difference that statements had my name on it along with account no.
Logically, HO should accept your statements as guidance notes(Page 25) doesn't say that your name has to appear on the statement produced by bank. Since the statement is produced by bank itself(with stamp on every page), it is an official document issued by bank. If HO wishes to verify it, HO can easily do the same as I beleive stamp on the statement will have branch code and the emp/till code of the customer service agent who stamped it(It was in my case). This makes your statement completely back trackable.

ii)Personal bank statements showing the payments made to the applicant: Bank statements provided must be on official bank stationery, and must show each of the payments that the applicant is claiming. If the applicant wishes to submit electronic bank statements from an online account he/ she should also provide a supporting letter from the bank on company headed paper confirming that the documents are authentic. Alternatively an electronic bank statement bearing the official stamp of the bank issuing the statements will be accepted. This stamp must appear on every page of the statement. For the purposes of this guidance an online bank account is one that operates solely over the internet and sends their bank statements to their customers electronically (for example over the internet or via email).

Thanks for ur response, Wot If I ask them to write my name with a pen , coz they said they can't print out my name in online statement...

Well if you can wait for few days better wait. But you should not tamper with original documents.
