Work Permit to Tier 2

Post by daredevil » Thu Jun 25, 2009 3:41 pm

Hi all,

I am currently on a work permit which is due to expire at the start of next year. My current employer is willing to extend it further which will be Tier 2 according to the new system. If I am not wrong, this will be considered as a Transition Arrangement ? Also, my employer doesn't need to do anything regarding Resident Labour Market Test. Please do let me know if I am correct in assuming this. Is there anything important which needs to be considered while applying for the extension.

Thanks and Regards,

You should be able to get 50 points under transitional arrangements. Your employer needs to be registered as a licensed sponsor under the PBS.

Thank you for your reply. I have spoken to my employer and they are willing to get themselves regiestered as a licensed sponsor under the PBS. So I hope there shouldn't be any problem.
