Is this acceptable by the Home Office or do I have to get the hard-copy version that costs a little more?
(Sorry if this has already been answered but I wasn't able to find it using th search function).

HO prefer hard copy of the document. Is your university not listed in PBS calculator? If it is listed then you don't need to submit NARIC letter.

The university is listed, but I don't know if my Master's degree is a "further specialisation" degree or not.

Well if your degree says it is masters then it should be fine. Isn't it? You don't need to have a extended specialisation in the same field as of your bachelors.

No, not all US masters degree are considered by NARIC to be comparable. It's actually kind of very confusing. Some are supposedly considered to be Bachelor's equivalent by NARIC.

Well in that case it is worth spending another £35 for NARIC certificate then to risk application fee.

Yes, that is what I was thinking but I was wondering if I did it online how would I prove it to the HO - I guess I will need a hard copy.

Did you received online confirmation from NARIC stating comparison of your Degree? I am under impression that you only get hard copy of the comparison letter.

I haven't applied yet. But their website has an online version which is slightly cheaper. I emailed them (NARIC) about whether the online version would be acceptable by the HO but they could not give me an answer.

Never heard of online NARIC. Better ask HO directly.
