Dependent Visa, ILR

Post by sunspot_sv » Wed Jul 15, 2009 11:15 pm

Hey

Can anyone give me some information on an ILR application? Basically I came to the UK when i was 17 on a dependent visa, dependent on my mom. She is applying for her ILR along with me. I joined uni since the time i got here and have a student account with an overdraft that i use. Is this going ot be a problem when i apply for my ILR?

Thanks

How your dependants can apply for settlement wrote:Children of highly skilled workers are eligible to apply for settlement at the same time as the highly skilled worker, provided the child meets the requirements of the immigration rules.
How do my dependants apply? wrote:You can only include dependant children aged under 18 on your application form SET(O). If you have children aged 18 or over who are dependent on you they will need to make their own application for settlement. They should use application form SET(O) and will need to pay a separate fee for us to decide their application. They will need to demonstrate their knowledge of language and life in the United Kingdom before they are granted settlement. If your dependant child aged 18 or over has not demonstrated their knowledge of language and life in the United Kingdom, they will need to apply to extend their stay as your dependant. They should use application FLR(O) and will need to pay a separate fee for us to decide their application.
