Visa for Wife

Hi,
May be I am going to ask a abasic question...

I am on HSMP visa and have got an extension under old rules (HSMP Judicial review). I am getting married in 2 months and I wanted to know, what will be the procedure to apply for the visa of wife.

I am living with my uncle's family at the moment, I have heard that the Bank statement, Salary slips and Marriage certificate are necessary to attach with the application.

But some of my friends has told me about Tennancy agreement to show enough accomodation, At the moment I am staying with my uncle 's family so dont have any tennancy agreement.

I will be grateful, if anybody guide me about the procedure for the visa and tell me about the documents. Secondly If anybody knows which application form should be filled ??

Thank you very much for your help. I have read the thread and my question is about Tennancy Agreement. As I have mentioned that at the moment I am staying with uncle's family and if I have a plan to rent a flat after the visa of my visa, but it seems like i need to rent it before the submission of application to fulfil teh requirement of tennancy agreement which could be a wastage of money. ANy other document which I can show as a replacement of tennancy agreement ????

Hi...

It actually depends how/where u r planning to stay after marriage.. if you are planning to rent an appartment.. the best thing is if u want appartment from 1st october and if u r applying for visa for ur wife in mid sept.. than u shd choose the place where you want to rent and discuss with the Rental broker to provide you the rental agreement with post dated 1st october agreement and you can send that to your wife to apply

Or

If your uncle's house is Big and u are going to stay there with ur wife.. and if ur uncle is the landlord than get a no objection letter from your uncle and also mentioning the house would be comfortably enough for ur uncles family and ur family to stay...

Is this No Objection certifictae a legal document or can be obtained on a simple paper ???

"I think" it can be on a simple paper but with proof of ur uncle as landlord should do good(to be safe than being sorry)

just wait for someone to confirm on the legality of the document..

Yes this is fine. If your uncle is happy to provide NOC, you are fine. It can be on a plain paper. It is accepted in UK.

Hi tvn_ramesh and chetanojha,

Thank you very much for both of you. As I have said that I will rent a flat afterwards but at the moment I am just trying to save the money. Anyways, I dont think so that somebody from HO visits the place to check whether the enough space is available over there to accomodate a couple. Actually my uncle's house is a 4 bedroom house and I have got one room over there as well which might not be enough for a couple. Secondly, i haven't signed any agreement with him.

I think that should be ok, If he signs NOC with the details that I am living with them since last year and it wont be a problem for them if my wife stays over there as well ????
