Questions related to immigrating to Canada

Post by raina.abhi » Mon Jul 06, 2009 12:33 pm

Hi,

Me and my wife are planning to apply for Canadian Immigrant Visa under Skilled worker category. I have few questions before we apply for the same –

1. Do we both have to submit the Police Certificate? Is there format or something that we know has to be written in Police Certificate?
2. We are working in two different cities as of now; will this have any effect on our case?
3. Do we both have to go through the IELTS exam or only principal applicant has to undergo this test?
4. Do I need to submit all the proofs of funds now when sending all our application and documents or it has to be shown when we go for personal appearance?
5. Do we need to get transcripts related to our previous companies as asked in the Visa checklist for all our previous companies?

Hope to hear from someone on all of the above. :D

Thanks,
Abhishek

Hi Raina,

Regarding your queries:

1. You both need a police certificate, there is no format as such you can apply to your nearest passport office by paying required fees, you get certificate same day(Your passsport must have 6 months or more validity to get this).

2. as far as i know , working in diffferent cities dnt have impact on case.

3. Regarding IELTS you have to confirm , as when i applied as prinicpal applicant only i have given the exam(Check cic.gc.ca).

4.Check again from cic.gc.ca( i think you have to attach copies, if you do no harm ).

5.no idea on this?

5.
