URGENT ADVICE ON EC

Post by buntosanya » Mon Sep 26, 2005 8:10 pm

I have been refused visiting visa for UK twice in the last 2 and half months. The reason given was that my Bank Statement shows inconsistencies and anomalies. It was also said that my statement does not portray my true status, that the amount in my Account is about
1,100GBP, while my income in my present work place is just about 359GBP.

I sent my previous Bank job appointment letter and retirement letter, to buttress the fact that i was once earning about =N=2.9million naira per annum(12,000GBP), just about 2years ago. This was bcos in my first application their reason for refusal was this issue of statement. I worked for a little over 11 years on the job, before i retired and picked up a less stressful job in order to take care of my kids in year 2003. I think one will expect i should have some kind of investment. I also sent rental receipts on my 2 Shops where i sell groceries and mobile phone recharge
cards. I claimed that i have 1,000GBP available for my trip, to this they said they don't find it credible that i will want to spend that much considering the fact that i have 2 infants and also my family financial status (some very cheeky comments).

The question now is, i hope this will not in any way affect my application for another EC based on my work permit. I intend to send my passport and my Husband's passport for EC, since we don't have intention of
taking the children until later next year when we might have settled.

Can i apply again for EC when it is not up to 6 months the visiting visa was refused? Is there any hope to get an EC given the above refusals based on all the ECO Prejudice over my supplied Docs.

I am selling my shares which is about =N=1.9 million (7,750GBP)and also proceeds from sales of my personal business which is also about =N=2.7 million (10,100GBP). The proceeds of the shop can not be in my account as at when we are applying, because i have to know the outcome of the Entry Clearance before i sell out the business. The only evidence will be the offer letter to d buyer and stock valuation as at 1st of September
which was signed by both of us and witnesses, but subject to adjustment on the hand over date.

The proceeds of my shares will be in my account and from my experience with them, i think i will have to accompany it with a letter from my stockbroker confirming the sales.

I also have a mail from a Social Care Services recruiting agent in UK telling me to contact her when i get over there. I have interest in Social Work and i intend to pursue the Career. I will be finishing an NVQ4 in Social Work Exam in the next 2 weeks 'Social Work with Children and Families'. I also intend to enroll in a Degree in Social Work as soon as possible.

I hope I am not bothering you all with my stress. I think i just need someone to discuss my frustrations with. Honestly i would have backed out, but when i remember how long it took me to get the Permit, i want to fight on.

Is it possible to appeal if they refuse me the EC?

I can't just get my thought together now, maybe i should have waited for my HSMP approval. I felt i could just apply and go on visit, but alas this costly mistake is making the whole thing difficult for me.

Kindly advise urgently.
