Tier 1 Visa Fee Declined by Banker for security reasons

Post by sudhiruk2008 » Mon Jun 29, 2009 12:20 am

Hi Can Any one help me Please?
I am on HSMP visa and applied (Extension) for Tier 1 General. I've send my application to Home Office on 19th June 2009 and Home Office tried to deduct the fee on 22nd June 10:30AM. Unfortunately for some security reasons bank has declined(Have given credit card details) the fee request(My fee £820 + My Wife fee £50) and immediately bank people called me and asked for my approval which is late, now they are ready to approve the fee. HO sent me an acknowledgement on 22nd June stating they've received the application and if they find any problems with the fee payment or validity of the application, caseworker will contact me. My Visa is going to expire on 11th July 2009.

I've 2 questions here can you please answer
1) Is HO will try again to deduct the fee payment?
2) Is really caseworker will contact me if there is any problem with the fee deduction?

case never pass to case worker until the payment is been credit in HO account. I'm surprised how they send you application acknowledgment. Wait for a week may be your case will result for free

Hi fahadz,
Thanks you so much for your immediate reply and I don't know I got 2 acknowledgments. If you are right it wont got to the caseworker until fee decucted, why in the acknowledgments mentioned that "if there is any problems with the fee payment or validity of the application, caseworker will contact you"? Any way I'll wait 1 week more as you said.

exactly. probably not the first time Home Office encounter such a problem before about declined payments due to bank putting in block, and they probably have an automated system to try to obtain payment again in a few days.

Wait a week or two. Home Office will get in touch with you if your application is being sent back.

Have you tried calling up the Home Office and asking what will be done in this situation?

It might be that if they cannot process payment they will ask for alternative payment method before sending back your application...

This happened to me for an ILR application (not sure how, my bank said there were no attempts to charge me £820). I waited and they eventually returned my application to me after 3 weeks, saying it was invalid due to payment problems. If your visa is expiring, you don't want an invalid application returned to you. I suggest you send a new payment form with a personal cheque.

I had the same problem when I applied for my post-study worker visa.I also got two acknowledgment letters. My payment didn't go through for bc of my bank's restrictions. However,I called HO and spoke to one guy who was extremely helpful. He asked me to get a letter from the bank to prove I had the funds in my account when they tried drawing the funds.I did and they granted my application
