Hi All,
As WP holder is allowed to do extra job in the same field and by the agreement of the employer, my question is that :Can extra job's salary be counted to meet 40K if tax is paid. Because it is definitely an earning.

If you are talking abt part time job earning inclusion in ur hsmp earning points, it is counted as long as u pay the tax on this.

Is there any requirement of length of part time job? If e.g after 6 months 40K limit is reached, then can be applied? Only salary slips showing tax deductions will do or need to wait till end of fiscal year for p60?

Same situation i faced, i reached the reqd limit before the end of fiscal year but i opted to wait to the end of fiscal year to get the tax return as only 2 months were left. But three of my friends submitted the last year (2004) tax return becoz they had the same salary in the last year. but i didnt have the same salary in last year thats why i was unable to submit the last year tax return.

So in your case if you have the same earnings as of last year, u may submit the last year tax return. But if u have the current yr earnings than contac your tax department that what in-terim document they can offer you to show that u r paying the tax against ur income.
