Yes, usually u apply at the embassy of the first port of call, or the longest stay. Bear in mind the Spanish embassy is manned by the rudest and most inefficient staff in the world.juliajules1979 wrote:Thanks very much for your posts.
So if we wanted to travel to say, for example Spain, would we have to go to the spanish embassy for the schengen visa? Is the visa valid only for that trip, or could we use the same visa later for another trip to another country, say for example France?
Thankyou for your help.
Theoretically yes, but in the summer months the appointments are all booked up for months on ned for the more popular destinations. Consider a fortnight in Gdansk instead!juliajules1979 wrote:Thanks fr your reply. If we wanted to go to fly on a package holiday to spain, greece etc. we would just go to the embassy and apply for a visa for that country only and that would cover us for the holiday.
Thankyou
Check the European sub-forum here - there's a few Schengen topics on the go at the moment.juliajules1979 wrote:Haha, yeah I might be better off!!What documents do they require when applying for the visa? Does it normally take very long. Sorry fr all the questions!!
Thankyou so much for your help.
As I previously said Schengen visas are valid for travel to any country within the Schengen Area.juliajules1979 wrote:Hiya
Tnanks for your reply. If that visa was issued as a multi enry visa, does that mean just to the country it was issued in, or could you go to that country for say weeks holiday and within a few months visit another country.
Thankyou.
