Hi,
I am planning to apply for my spouse's Dependant VISA from India.
I have a recurring deposit account in India whereby an amount of 4000 INR is credited every month from the savings account. The deposit started in 2006 and the current balance is around 1,60,000.00 INR (which is more than 1600 GBP) for the last 3 months. The deposit is scheduled till August 2010.
Does a recurring deposit account is considered by the HO as an evidence of Mainrenance Funds? The UKBA websites states that, only Cash Deposit accounts are considered. Now, considering the Recurring Deposit account is equivalent to Savings Account (ISA) and we can withdraw money at any point of time, does a Recurring Deposit account fall within the category of a 'Cash Fund'? Please advise. Also, please advise on whether I can go ahead with the application based on this fund?
Thanks.
Regards,
sam
