I am confused about these questions in the extension form. As per the form I am supposed to skip these questions, however having seen some posts, it seems that these questions are mandatory.

Depends on what your answer to Q24 is. If it is No then you skip the remaining question in section B and move on Section C

My reply to B24 is "No" (I havent live in Northern ireland). However I have read in the prevoius posts that even though the question takes you to part c, B27-B28 are mandatory?

i just checked with my copy of application whihc i sent in Jan 09..

At Q B24.. there is a typo in the application

because in my application it shows as below:

B24. Has the applicant ever lived in Northern Ireland?
Yes - go to question B25 No - go to question B26

so even if ur answer to B24 is NO

then go to B26 and fill through to B28..

You are supposed to use the latest version of the application available on UKBA website. The latest form asks you skip to section C. A colleague of mine filled up form in this fashion and got approval.

Logically thinking you should fill the:

B.26 - The applicant should indicate whether they consider themselves to be employed or self-employed:
B.27 - Please select the applicant’s main occupation from the following list (if applicable):
B.28 - Please give the applicant’s current job title (if applicable)

they are no way linked with the question.. B.24
B. 24 - Has the applicant ever lived in Northern Ireland?
