Child support on dependent Visa??abortion

I am pregnant and on a dependent visa. We don't think we can support the child on our own so can I claim child benefit?How does it work? would it affect my visa status as on a dependent visa I am not allowed to claim any benefits?Cause we are thinking about abortion if we can't get any help.

I think that your partner may claim child benefit (alone) and Tax credits (as a couple).
