Do not confuse maitnance section with your earning period. For maintenance section you need to provide 3 month bank statement not more than 30 days old before you lodge your application with balance not dropping below 2800 on any given date.
For income section you need to provide 12 month bank statement confirming your net salary (for the claim period) coming in it.
Hope this clarifies your confusion.
By saying 29th may 2008 to 29th april 2009. if you mean the salary dates n salaries of may n april.. you can use that period.. no problem..vivek_tailor wrote:Hi all,
I am going to apply tier 1 point based visa. I have one confusion related to earning period. I have shown earning periof from 29th may 2008 to 29th april 2009. Is the 12 month period correct? and then I want to shown last three month bank statment in maintenance section. i.e may, june and july. Is that correct Or I need to show immediate 12 month period?
Thanks,
Vivek
Thanks all. That is all clear to me. Now I will show 12 month earning period from 29th april 2008 to 28th april 2009 and last three month bank statement as well no older than one month before aplication. one more question....Do I need cover letter for application as i am applying within UK?tvn_ramesh wrote:By saying 29th may 2008 to 29th april 2009. if you mean the salary dates n salaries of may n april.. you can use that period.. no problem..vivek_tailor wrote:Hi all,

by saying 29th April 2008 do you mean the salary earned in April?? if yes.. i am afraid you can not use this month of april 2008 as it will be 16th month from now.. and as per HO guidance you can use any 12consecutive months in the last 15months.. and for you 15months start from May2008-July2009 salaries..vivek_tailor wrote:Thanks all. Thanks for that. It is really helpful. I did master degree from UK. I claimed 35 points in the qualification assessment. Can I use the same degree in the english language assessment to claim 10 points? I have already checked from point based calculator available from Home office and they accept my degree in both case. But what is the good optionas my bachelor degree is not from UK? I still want to show same degree in both case is that ok?tvn_ramesh wrote:by saying 29th April 2008 do you mean the salary earned in April?? if yes.. i am afraid you can not use this month of april 2008 as it will be 16th month from now.. and as per HO guidance you can use any 12consecutive months in the last 15months.. and for you 15months start from May2008-July2009 salaries..vivek_tailor wrote:Thanks all. A cover letter is good to attach becauase it is the only way you can speak to the Caseworker who is working on ur application to explain things to him.. think abt it..

You can put the docs in the order of: but there is no standard rule for this.. we try to make things easier for the caseworker to lookinto but not create confusionvivek_tailor wrote:tvn_ramesh wrote:Vivek:

Thank you very much. Is it ok if I can put all supporting evidence in one file and application form and cover letter on another file? or Do I need to attache supporting evidence with each section?
thanks, Vivek
Thank you. this is great. So I will put all this in one file. Do I need to staple the application?tvn_ramesh wrote:You can put the docs in the order of: but there is no standard rule for this.. we try to make things easier for the caseworker to lookinto but not create confusionvivek_tailor wrote:tvn_ramesh wrote:Vivek:

passport
application
PBS summary sheet
coverletter

but dont try to attach each evidence at the back of each application section.. keep it straight n simple is the mantra..
If they are your ORIGINAL Company Pay slips you dont need sign and stamp... but if they are Online payslips or printed pdf payslips.. then u have to have sign/stampvivek_tailor wrote:
I have one question about salary slips. My salary slip is showing company headed paper which shows the company name, my NI number, my tax number, the amount of NI and tax deducted from gross salary and net salary. Do I still need to stamp and sign with my employer? It's not a plain paper.
Thanks,
Vivek

Yes. You have to. Try using punch hole(filing holes) in the form and tie papers together with thread or something. I did the same.vivek_tailor wrote: Do I need to put complete applicattion form because some sections are not related to me for example section 3B,3C and represetative details?
The form is quite big and it is difficult to staple. How u can put it together?

Thanks. I want to clear one more thing here. After cover letter, you put application, Is it full apllication form or application form with just payment details? Do you attached supporting documents with each section? I would like to attached supporting documents after application form in transperent leave with each document. What do you think?chetanojha wrote:Vivek,vivek_tailor wrote: How did you put supporting documents?

Use a file with transparent leaves. You can then put documents in the tranparent leave, so that documents are arranged in proper order and are easy to refer. It is a good for presenting your application in organized manner so that dumb caseworker do not have to put much efforts on your application and he can get all information he want to see easily.(Needless to say, it is good for you).I used the below order:
01 Cover Letter
02 Application - Extension for Leave to Remain Tier1 (General)
(a) Covering Letter
(b) Tier 1(General) Extension Application Form with Payment details.
03 Point Based Calculator from your website[print out]
04 Age Assessment
(a) Passport
05 Qualifications
(a) Bachelors Degree Certificate
06 Past Earnings
(a) Covering Letter explaining last 12 month’s Earnings
(b) Last 12 months Pay Slips from X-Company
(c) Bank Statement for period covering Last 12 months
07 UK Experience
(a) UK Payslips included in the Past Earning section above.
08 English Language Requirements (a) Original letter from Awarding body confirming that Degree was
taught in English.
09 Maintenance Funds
(a) Bank Statements of my account confirming the same. Please refer Bank statements include in earning section.

You will be attaching evidences "after" application form in transparent leave.vivek_tailor wrote: Thanks. I want to clear one more thing here. You can do that with a PENCIL (preferred) without disturbing or overshading the actual Print..vivek_tailor wrote:
