Just heard about this on BBC radio 4 news. anyone have any more news about this? Anywhere/one I can complain or moan to? Nothing better than causing the foreign office/home office more problems

perfect! so I've 2 examples to throw at them.

send your complaints to:

http://ukinpakistan.fco.gov.uk/en/feedback

if that doesn't work, fax them (i'd suggest the bottom 2 faxes):

British High Commission, Islamabad, Pakistan
British High Commission
Diplomatic Enclave
Ramna 5
P O Box 1122
Islamabad

Telephone: 00 92 51 201 2000
Fax:00 92 51 201 2031 (Trade and Investment Fax)
00 92 51 201 2028 (Management Section Fax)
00 92 51 201 2043 (Press & Public Affairs Fax)
00 92 51 201 2019 (Consular Section Fax)

I'm gonna threaten them with the ombudsman as well

Why don't they just tell them they got visas, fly them up back to same airport, douse them with hosepipes to simulate rain, get some white people to abuse them, rip them off in a taxi, get some tree-huggers to get them to claim asylum, they'd never know they weren't in the UK!

Actually no-one knows the history, all that's been quoted are BBC reports. It's inconceivable that the refusal decisions were taken without good reason or without the expectation that there would be some unfavourable comment. Such group applications are notorious for including supernumaries, and if the organisers allow this to happen they must expect the worst.

And threats about the "Ombudsman" will cut no ice. This from the relevant web page:-
"The remit of the Chief Inspector does not permit him to consider individual cases."

Wanderer, your subtle humour is lost on this forum. Suggest you write this on your blog, and you will have at least one regular reader. Great stuff.
